Purchasing Coordinator, under the direction of the Purchasing Manager, the Purchasing Coordinator will be responsible for expediting orders, invoice corrections, assistance with returns, shipping and receiving along with inventory and vendor relations. The ideal candidate must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, working on multiple projects a day. Our ideal Purchasing Coordinator is a career-minded individual, with strong team ideals and the desire to have a positive impact on the financial growth and profits of the company. *What you will do…* Enter Vendor Confirmations/Acknowledgements Provide Backorder Status as Requested by Team Member (s) Expedite Existing Orders via Order Status Report, Follow Up on Backorders Check In at Regular Intervals w/Long Duration Projects regarding Returns and Backorders Research Original Order Info P.O./Invoice/Price Enter Return Request Details Request Return with Vendor Communicate w/Vendor if Discrepancy Communicate w/PM or Department if Discrepancy Count Year-End Inventory Meet w/Vendors - New and Existing Seek Out New Vendor *What you will need to succeed…* Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines and metrics Strong analytical and critical thinking skills Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality *What you will love about us…* SVI employees are the company’s greatest assets.
