Fundraising Consultant

Project FIND, a not-for-profit agency, seeks a fundraising consultant skilled in acquiring corporate and individual contributions to rapidly increase the organizations discretionary resources. The consultant will have strong networks throughout New York Citys corporate community; with an emphasis on Fortune 100 companies. Knowledge of companies that support the not-for-profit housing and older adult service sectors strongly preferred. Key deliverables include cultivating essential corporate and individual relationships with a minimum of at least one five-figure pledge or contribution secured within the first 4-6 weeks. The consultant has a minimum goal of $100,000 in new pledges and/or contributions in the first six months. The ideal candidate has experience acquiring new individual major gifts and growing existing individual donor relationships. While the large majority of the consultants time will be directed towards growing new, unrestricted resources, the consultant will spend up to 15 percent of their time (depending on the season of giving and events) overseeing key donor database and acknowledgment processes and assisting with the annual benefit. The consultant is required to have a track record of acquiring major contributions ($10,000 and above). Knowledge of technology and donor management software (Bloomerang or similar database) required. The length of the contract is 6 months with a possible extension. Fees to be negotiated.
