Position summary: This position is responsible for programming automation and controls systems involving PLCs (programmable logic controllers) and DCSs (distributed control systems) and therefore must possess skills in PLC logic and programming with any of the following PLCs: Allen Bradley, Modicon, GE Fanuc, Siemens, Automation Direct, and other top providers. Will create and read logic and flow diagrams for program design, programming, simulation and testing, and start-up. Also, will program/maintain VFDs and instruments including trouble shooting, hardware and software. The employee is regularly exposed to risk of routine industrial hazards which may include the risk of electrical shock.
