Position Title: Lifespan Development Instructor Department: Clinical PsyD Psychology Program Location: Wright Institute, 2728 Durant Ave., Berkeley, CA Employment Type: Adjunct Faculty Academic Term: Spring Trimester (April - June) Position Overview: The Lifespan Development Instructor will be responsible for teaching a fundamental component of the Foundations Series within the Clinical Psychology Program at the Wright Institute. Primary topics include the changing nature of individual experience across the lifespan and the interaction of physiological, cognitive, emotional, and sociocultural factors. The course provides students with a comprehensive understanding of the scientific aspects of developmental psychology, focusing on the adaptation of this knowledge toward the biopsychosocial practice of clinical psychology. Instructors seeking a more substantial faculty position and are also qualified and interested in teaching a year-long sequence of courses including research methods, statistics, tests and measurements, and a course involving the guidance of doctoral students in preparing a pre-dissertation prospectus are strongly encouraged to apply.
