Uniform Patrol Police Officer

The Village of Bethany Police Department is seeking a qualified and highly motivated individual to fill the position of full-time patrol officer. This law enforcement position involves duties that will include vehicle patrol, traffic enforcement, criminal investigations, community relations, and local ordinance enforcement. Successful applicants will possess knowledge and experience in the law enforcement field.

Valid driver’s license and high school diploma or equivalent required. Must be at least 21 years of age. Successful completion of Police Training Institute required upon hiring, with preference given to those already certified. Valid FOID Card. Starting hourly wage dependent upon qualifications and experience but will be between $25-$30/hour.

Now offering a sign on bonus of $10,000.00 ($5000.00 on hiring and $5000.00 at end of third year.  100% Paid health, dental and vision for employee (Blue Cross/Blue Shield 75% of dependents) as well as vacation, personal and sick time immediately available on date of hire or academy graduation.
