Job DetailsDescriptionSchedule: Department: IT Software QA - 215 Primary Purpose: May consult with senior peers on complex projects. Works under general supervision with moderate latitude for independent decision making. Test ARUP developed and commercial off the shelf software. Perform analysis to ensure software products achieve design specifications, quality standards and best practices. Create and execute customized functional and non-functional test cases. Develop, implement, and maintain test plans and procedures for system integration testing. Create defect reports and maintain records of test progress and test results. Communicate with product team members, management and technical support on test efforts and support needs. Requires moderate IT skills with a moderate level of proficiency. Physical and Other Requirements: Stooping: Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist. Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction. Mobility: The person in this position needs to occasionally move between work sites and inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. PPE: Biohazard laboratory environment that requires use of personal protective equipment in accordance with CDC and OSHA regulations and company policies. ARUP Policies and Procedures: To conduct self in compliance with all ARUP Policies and Procedures. Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Fine Motor Control: Picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working, primarily with fingers rather than with the whole hand as in handling. Vision: Having close, far, and peripheral visual acuity to perform a variety of tasks such as make general observations of depth and distance. QualificationsEducationRequiredHigh School Diploma or Equivalent or better. PreferredAssociates Degree or better in Computer Science or related field. Bachelor's Degree or better in Computer Science or related field. ExperienceRequired2 years:Experience as a software tester PreferredSQL, HTML, Microsoft Windows, Client Server architecture, Web testing, and Automation testing
Experience with software development lifecycle techniques
Experience working in a collaborative team environment
Experience with Agile methodology
Certification or professional training in computer studies
College courses in computer related studies
