FORESTER II (CONTRACT POSITION) FORESTRY DEPARTMENT The successful applicant must have a Bachelor of Science degree in Forestry with at least 24 semester hours in forestry. At least three (3) years of professional field forestry experience is required. A valid state drivers license. In order to function as fire overhead, a current red card must be secured and an annual physical must be submitted. Proficient in the use of forestry tools such as hand compass, clinometers, global positioning equipment (GPS), prisms, altimeters, land survey equipment, relascopes, range finders, and data recorders. Proficient in the use of specialty software packages such as cruise programs, appraisal programs, forestry data base programs, ARC View, image processing programs, etc. All applicants are required to submit a Tribal application, copies of relevant transcripts and/or certificates and a copy of a valid Montana drivers license to the Personnel Department.
