Summer Camp Assistant

Join our team as a Camp Assistant, where you will play a crucial role in creating a safe and enjoyable environment for children aged 5 to 17 participating in our summer programs. In this position, you will be responsible for supervising and caring for campers, ensuring their well-being while engaging them in age-appropriate activities. Your duties will include assisting in the planning and implementation of the curriculum aligned with Trade Winds Services, which emphasizes creativity, teamwork, and personal growth. Additionally, part of your role may involve driving a 12-passenger bus to transport campers to various field trip destinations, contributing to their adventure and learning outside the traditional camp setting.

Hours: Required availability from 7: 30 AM to 5: 00 PM, Monday through Friday, for the entire 9 weeks of the camp.

Education: A High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred for this position.

Experience Required: Candidates should have experience working with school-age children, particularly in school-based environments or with special needs populations. You must be at least 21 years old or a junior in college to apply.

Position Reports to: Camp Lead

Additional Information:

All candidates must pass background checks prior to employment.

A valid driver's license is preferred but not mandatory.
