Early HeadStart Teacher - 2yr olds

Hours:  Monday-Friday; 9: 00 am- 5: 30 pm (flexible hours may be required)

Description of Position:

As key members of our educational team, the Lead Teacher and Assistant Teacher play crucial roles in nurturing and educating a group of children aged 2 years who are enrolled in the Trade Winds Little EHS Childcare program. The selected candidates will be responsible for creating and implementing engaging and age-appropriate learning experiences that align with the standards set forth by Trade Winds and the Childcare Partnership Partner, Geminus. This position demands a high level of interaction with the children, collaborating with families, and working closely with fellow educators to cater to the unique developmental and educational needs of each child. By actively participating in daily activities, the Lead and Assistant Teachers will assess individual progress and devise methods to support children's growth in a safe, supportive, and stimulating environment.

Education Requirements:

A CDA, Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood or Elementary Education is required. Candidates must also comply with childcare licensing regulations and be at least 21 years of age.

Experience:

Previous experience working with children in a classroom setting for a minimum of three (3) months is a must.

Additional Requirements:

Candidates must successfully pass both a criminal background check and a drug screening.
