Full-Time Elementary School Principal Beginning 2025-2026 School Year Position Overview The Union Area School District in Lawrence County, Pennsylvania, seeks an experienced, innovative, and dedicatededucational leader to serve as Elementary School Principal (12-month) beginning in the 2025-2026 school year. Thesuccessful candidate will provide leadership, foster a positive school culture, and manage all aspects of the elementary school's operations.Required Qualifications Valid Pennsylvania Principal Certification Minimum of five (5) years of successful teaching experience Act 34, 114, and 151 clearances (current within one year) Demonstrated leadership abilities and strong communication skills Preferred Qualifications Master's Degree in Educational Leadership, Administration, or related field Experience as a principal, assistant principal, or in an administrative leadership role Background in student support services Qualities and Skills of the Successful Candidate The successful candidate will demonstrate: Leadership Deep understanding of child development Ability to coach, mentor, and evaluate teaching staff effectively Commitment to evidence based instructional practices and continuous improvement Experience implementing multi- tiered systems of support (MTSS) Knowledge of current educational research and best practices Administrative Competence Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to manage budgets, resources, and facilities effectively Experience with school safety procedures and emergency management Knowledge of educational law and PDE policies Skill in developing and implementing school improvement plans Interpersonal Excellence Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities Proven ability to build collaborative relationships with staff, families, and community Conflict resolution and problem-solving skills Approachable leadership style that balances firm decision-making with empathy Personal Attributes High ethical standards and professional integrity Resilience and ability to thrive in a dynamic environment Visionary thinking balanced with practical implementation skills Passion for elementary education and student success Responsibilities Provide leadership to promote student achievement and teacher excellence Manage all aspects of school operations, personnel, budget, and facilities Implement district curriculum and instructional initiatives Ensure compliance with state regulations and district policies Supervise and evaluate professional and support staff Foster positive school culture and climate Maintain effective communication with parents and community stakeholders Develop and implement school improvement plans Ensure a safe and secure learning environment Collaborate with the district leadership team on strategic initiatives Application Process The application deadline is May 7, 2025.
