SALARY Depends on Qualifications Description The Coordinator of Clinical Experience for Nursing Programs plays a crucial role in ensuring the success of nursing students during their clinical rotations with our industry partners. This position involves collaborating with healthcare facilities, other training institutions and our own nursing faculty, staff, and students to coordinate and manage clinical experiences. The Coordinator of Clinical Experience is responsible for securing clinical placements, monitoring student progress, acting as a liaison between our institution and the clinical sites, and ensuring that our nursing students receive a high-quality and diverse range of clinical learning opportunities. Identify, develop, and maintain relationships with healthcare facilities and clinical sites for nursing students’ placements. Collaborate with clinical educators and facility staff to ensure a positive learning environment for students. Ensure students have met all institutional and facility requirements to participate in clinical rotations. Match nursing students with appropriate clinical placements based on program requirements, learning objectives, and student preferences. Manage the scheduling and logistics of clinical rotations for nursing faculty and students to ensure that students have a well-rounded clinical experience. Provide clinical orientation including expectations, policies, and procedures. Serve as a liaison between nursing faculty, students, and clinical preceptors to address any issues or concerns. Provide guidance and support to students during clinical experiences. Maintain accurate records of clinical placements, student assignments, and evaluations. Ensure that all clinical sites and students comply with regulatory requirements and clinical policies. Assist with the development and maintenance of clinical contracts and agreements. Participate in program evaluations and accreditation processes related to clinical experiences. Collect feedback from students, clinical preceptors, and faculty to continuously improve the clinical experience. Identify areas for enhancement and implement changes to improve the quality of clinical placements. Collaborate with faculty to align clinical experiences with program outcomes. Collaborate with clinical preceptors and faculty to evaluate student performance during clinical rotations. Address any issues related to student performance and communicate feedback to students. Assist in the assessment of clinical competencies and provide input into student evaluations. (These essential job functions are not to be construed as a complete statement of all duties performed. Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff and industry partners. Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills. Dedication to maintaining a safe and professional learning environment. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher; Master’s degree in Nursing Education preferred Valid, unencumbered Florida Nursing license. Previous experience in clinical education, clinical placement coordination, or nursing leadership is strongly preferred. ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL SKILLS: Acceptable eyesight (with or without correction). Acceptable hearing (with or without hearing aid). Ability to communicate effective both orally and in writing. ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS: Works primarily in an office and classroom environment.
