Raleigh Water, the public utilities department for the City of Raleigh, provides water and sanitary sewer services to a service area population of approximately 630,000 residents in the Raleigh, Garner, Knightdale, Rolesville, Wake Forest, Wendell, and Zebulon areas. The Department also helps protect the environment through the operation of the Neuse River Resource Recovery Facility, which treats an average of 50 million gallons of wastewater per day and has been in 100% compliance for 20 years.
