JWB Family Law is a well-established exclusively Family Law firm located in downtown San Diego. We are seeking a full-time Senior Associate Attorney with extensive experience in family law. A sign-on bonus may be available for candidates with 7+ years' experience and a CFLS designation. Note this is not a remote position. The successful candidate must be detail oriented with strong writing, verbal, litigation experience. Case management abilities must be seasoned. To be successful you should be reliable, tenacious, perceptive, and a fun colleague. The Senior Associate Attorney will assist with managing a diverse portfolio of Family Law cases. The Attorney's responsibilities include meeting with clients to ascertain their needs, choosing the most appropriate course of action, and representing clients' interests at meetings and in court. In this role, you will be required to collaborate with and possibly report to Senior Attorneys or the managing attorney. Ultimately, a top-notch Senior Associate Attorney will exhibit familiarity with all aspects of family law and will utilize this knowledge to successfully manage and conclude cases, in the client's best interests. Associate Attorney Responsibilities: Consult with clients to ascertain the details and merits of each case. Conduct legal research using case law, legislation and other legal texts. Draft legal documents, including Petitions, Responses, Request for Orders, Mediation and Trial Briefs, Points & Authorities, etc. Represent clients at meetings, court hearings, and trials. Ensure all communication with clients remain confidential and are filed securely. Bill appropriately for all tasks salient to each case. Work effectively with paralegal and administrative staff; and Join and attend a networking group such as BNI or Pro Visors. License to practice law in the State of California. Open minded and willing to collaborate with Senior Attorneys. A minimum of four years' Family Law experience will be considered.
