REQUIRED CREDENTIALS: N.Y.S. School Counselor certification

Requirements of the position include:

• Strong interpersonal skills with a desire to assist all stakeholders of the CSCS community;
• Desire to work with students in individual and small group counseling settings;
• Participate in grade level teams, Student Support Team, Crisis Response Team meetings;
• Collaborate effectively with parents, teachers, support services, administration, and teachers;
• Facilitate student development in academic, personal/social and career planning;
• Able to work independently and as a team member.
• Primarily responsible for students in grades10-12.

To be considered for this position, candidates are required to complete the online application and electronically submit a cover letter, resume, copies of certification(s) or verification from TEACH website (if applicable), letters of reference (three minimum) with one from current immediate supervisor (or supervising teacher), and college transcripts. Candidates must also have completed the fingerprint process through the New York State Education Department.
