The Civil Service Board of the City of New Kensington will administer a Physical Agility Test as well as a Written Examination to establish an eligibility list for the position of police officer as follows:

9: 00 AM

WRITTEN EXAMINATION:

The applicants that successfully complete the Physical Agility

Test will be notified of the Written Examination date and time.

Application and pertinent forms may be obtained in person or by writing to the Secretary of the Civil Service Board at the City of New Kensington, City Clerk’s Office, 301 Eleventh Street, New Kensington, PA 15068. Email: cityclerk@nkcity.com.

Applications will be available beginning at 10: 00 a.m., prevailing time, MONDAY, JUNE 23, 2025. A non-refundable fee of $40.00 is required. The completed application and forms must be filed no later than 4: 30 p.m., prevailing time, MONDAY, AUGUST 4, 2025.

All completed applications must be physically returned to the Secretary of the Civil Service Board by the applicant at the City of New Kensington, City Clerk’s Office, 301 Eleventh Street, New Kensington, PA 15068. ALL APPLICANTS must show satisfactory proof that he/she is currently enrolled in and attending a certified Municipal Police Basic Training Course or has successfully completed Act 120 certification.
