The
Aspiring Education Teacher
plays a key role in shaping the future of education by inspiring and preparing the next generation of educators. This position focuses on enhancing students educational experiences by connecting classroom learning with hands-on practicum opportunities aligned with their chosen content areas. The program equips students with a solid foundation in essential areas such as the principles of teaching and learning, educational psychology, instructional planning, classroom management, school safety, and the broader social context of education. Through engaging and purposeful instruction, the Aspiring Education Teacher guides students as they explore and prepare for meaningful careers in the education field.
Key responsibilities include implementing and continually refining the curriculum to keep it current, relevant, and impactful, while also providing supervision and support to all enrolled students. Building and maintaining strong partnerships with local school districts and childcare providers is also critical, ensuring students gain valuable real-world experience as part of their professional growth.
