Financial Controller

Swift Glass Co., a privately owned glass fabricator in Elmira, NY specializing in the use of cutting edge technology to provide glass components to OEMs is looking to add a Financial Controller/Office Manager to our team. Duties include: Managing the day-to-day operations of the Swift Glass Financial Department. This includes general ledger, financial statement generation, inventory valuation and payroll related functions. Also required is the managing of the office clerical staff, staffing needs and training. Will also work with software advisor to formulate new and more efficient up-to-date programs and reports to assist all departments in keeping track of their operations. The Controller will be a member of the management team and report directly to the CEO and stockholders. Responsibilities: Manage the business ledger; Coordinate and help expedite the annual strategic plan and budget preparation for each year; Produce timely and accurate monthly financial statements;Track inventory;Oversee product costing and ensure information is passed on to production and quoting personnel;Look for improved information systems that track and guide the manufacture of our products;Supervise the daily operation of the office including hiring, training, and implementing incenctives to enhance productivity and efficiency;Research AI and how Swift Glass could possibly benefit from its implementation.
