NOW HIRING - TAX OFFICE The Monongalia County Sheriff's Tax Office is now accepting applications for permanent, full-time employment in the Monongalia County Sheriff's Tax Office. Applicants must possess good computer & math skills, be detail-oriented, and interact well with the public. Prior cash-handling experience and general office skills are required. Must be at least 18 years of age, able to pass personal & financial background checks, and be bondable. Salary and benefits will be discussed at interviews. Under the leadership of Sheriff Todd Forbes, approximately 120 staff members serve in various departments. This team includes 39 Law Enforcement officers, alongside personnel in the Detective Division, Tax Office, Court Security, School Safety Officers, Transportation Services, Home Confinement Division, both Administrative and Secretarial staff, all of which serve the 107,000 citizens of Monongalia County. Our current facility at 116 Walnut St. opened in January 2012 is a modern facility built with the citizens of Monongalia County in mind. It's centrally located to allow our deputies to reach all areas of the county quickly when called into action. The facility houses our Law Enforcement Staff, Criminal Transport, and administrative support staff.
