Digital Media Editor House Public Information Services Full-time temporary at-will position is available with the Minnesota House of Representatives as a digital media editor for the nonpartisan Public Information Services office. Candidates with part-time availability may be considered. This role is expected to begin in mid-January 2026 and last for approximately three months. The primary duties of this position are to professionally write and edit information content — primarily Session Daily stories, photos and videos — for timely posting to department websites and distribute that content through the department’s social media channels, including X, Bluesky, Facebook and Instagram. This position also oversees the department’s content management system. Proven ability to meet deadlines and provide a high level of accuracy are musts. Understanding of state government, legislative and office procedures is strongly encouraged. Some long and irregular hours may be required, especially once the legislative session begins Feb. 17. Hourly wage is $29.34 - $52.80 commensurate with experience. The office supports the mission of the House of Representatives via nonpartisan news and information services including reporting on committees and floor sessions, informational publications, photography, and television coverage.
