Position Title: Job Category: Employment Type: Job Profile: Job Duties: Join the Facilities Management team as a Plumber! The Plumber position duties include but are not limited to: maintenance, repair, installation and alteration of water lines, sewers, water heaters, softeners, boilers, and kitchen and bathroom fixtures within university owned buildings and grounds. This position is responsible for the performance of plumbing tasks listed below at a journeyman level for new, remodel, and repair projects for the University. Must be able to interpret blueprints and codes. This position will install, service, and maintain plumbing and plumbing systems for all types of structures, equipment, accessories, and related components in a safe, efficient, and knowledgeable manner.Will also use and maintain all materials, tools and equipment of the trade in a safe and knowledgeable manner. Primary schedule is Monday through Friday between the hours of 7: 00am - 3: 30pm. Work with our maintenance and trades teams focused on excellent customer service with no sales component. There is a potential that this position will be asked to respond to after hours emergencies on a as needed basis with additional compensation. Official UW Title Key Job Responsibilities:
Department: The Facilities Management Department is a service unit that reports to the Vice Chancellor of Business, Finance, and Administrative Services and provides many services to the UW-Stout campus including building and grounds maintenance, facility modifications and improvements, custodial services, snow removal, landscaping, campus planning & engineering, construction management, purchasing, fleet services, key management, campus inventory management, campus heat/steam production and chilled water, building openings and closings, event setup and teardown, moving services, trash and recycling collection, etc. The mission of Facilities Management is to provide quality service in an efficient, professional manner while being fiscally responsible to ensure campus safety and comfort. Our focus is to continually improve and ensure customer satisfaction. Compensation: Minimum$47.22 hourly, per the UW System Trade Agreement. This has been identified as a Crafts Worker position. Crafts Workers may elect an increased vacation allocation with a corresponding reduction to the prevailing rate.
