In 2018, we set out a three-year strategic plan to refocus on our low-risk pipeline and utility assets and to position our company for future success. We took steps to streamline the business to our three core franchises, strengthen our balance sheet and simplify our business.
In 2019, we’ll continue to build on last year’s strategy, with a continued focus on growing our three core businesses—liquids pipelines, gas pipelines, and utilities and power operations—while staying true to our low-risk business model.
We’ll place greater emphasis on enhancing the value of our core businesses by:
- increasing revenue and lowering costs;
- executing on our growth projects (including Line 3 Replacement, Gray Oak, Texas COLT, Southern Access Expansion, T-South and the Cameron Lateral);
- extending our growth beyond 2020, including toward export markets; and
- focusing on self-funding growth and careful capital allocation, with cash flow from operations providing significant reinvestment opportunities in 2020 and beyond.
Strategic priorities
Enbridge’s strategic priorities remain firmly in place as we continue to execute on our three-year strategic plan.
